When I retired from a refrigerator manufacturer in 2013 they were just starting to investigate smart fridges. Maybe I’m just an old Luddite, but I still prefer to actually open the door to see what’s in there (and what’s not). When they get to the point where I just punch in the meal I want, open a little door and there it is, we’ll talk 🙂

Kids these days…smh. I suppose it’s better than balancing a gallon of paint or box of nails on the front edge of a shelf tho and waiting for someone to open the door…

Interesting post about IoT malware. I’m just computer savvy enough to know not to mess with it, but also curious enough to read the text files that were posted with it. They may as well have been written in Greek… Hope I didn’t just destroy my tablet and the tablets of all future generations

      Heh, I think you’re okay.

I am *fascinated* by this IoT crapshow. I knew for years that the security on those devices was terrible-to-nonexistent, but I never thought of the potential for malware.
